Would your organisation benefit from support with a research or evaluation project? Find out more about how you can gain this support by hosting a funded PhD student placement for your organisation! LeedsACTS! are hosting a free in-person open event on Wednesday 8 November 1pm-3pm, where third sector organisations to find out more about how they can host a funded student placement through the PGR Student Placement Scheme at Leeds Social Sciences Institute (University of Leeds). The placements provide organisations with the opportunity to engage with Social Science PhD Students from the University of Leeds, gaining valuable support for a project of their choice. The event will have representatives from Leeds ACTS! as well as a representative of LSSI who is the main contact and support for students during their placements. To host a student placement, you will need to apply with details of the project you envisage a student could support. LSSI fund four student placements per quarter on a rolling basis. The timeline for the latest round of placements will be: - 29 November 2023 – Deadline for organisations to apply to LSSI
- December 2023 – LSSI confirm which placements they will fund and open for applications from students
- January 2024 – Students begin in placements
Placements are made available on a quarterly basis all year round, with organisations able to apply for placements when they are ready!
